John Larson Cancer Research Trust Fund

Value: Approx. $3,000 (The specific annual amount will be determined by the Selection Committee, based on the financial resources available.)
Number offered: To be determined by the Awards Committee
Eligibility: Open to full-time, fully qualified graduate students engaged in cancer research at the University of Saskatchewan. Students who have not yet started their graduate program at the time of application will not be considered.

Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 80% in the last two completed years of study.
Donor: This award is donated by the generosity of John Larson to provide an annual grant to a deserving student engaged in cancer research, including leukemia.

Apply online. The following items are needed to complete the application:

  • Description of the proposed research, using layperson terms (2 pages max.)
  • An up-to-date CV
  • Your unofficial USask transcripts (all levels)

A letter of support from your supervisor is required. The letter should include comments on your personal qualities, past achievements, and future potential. Have this letter forwarded to gradstudies.awards@usask.ca.
