Standard term schedule
These dates are taken from the Academic Calendar, the official listing of major academic events and deadlines for the academic calendar year. Archives of registration deadlines can be found in the tuition and fee archive for the academic years of 2019-20 to present. Registration deadlines for 2018-19 and previous can be found in the course and program catalogue archives. For classes that do not follow standard start and end dates, please consult an academic advisor.
All registration changes must be completed by 11:59 pm on the specified dates above. If you withdraw from a class after the last day to make registration changes with 100% tuition credit, you will not be refunded student fees and some tuition may be refunded based on the date you withdraw.
College of Medicine classes: The deadline to register through PAWS is 11:59 pm on the first day of the applicable term. To register in a class after that date, contact Student Central to register in a College of Medicine class.
Audit classes follow the same registration and withdrawal deadlines as listed above with the exception that you will not receive any tuition credit if you withdraw after the "Withdraw with 75% tuition credit" time period ends. If you would like to withdraw from an audit class, please contact Student Central.
Other term schedules
Certificate in English for Academic Purposes
The Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) follows a non-standard registration and withdrawal schedule. Further information can be found on the EAP webpage.
Open learning classes (Non-standard term classes)
Open Learning classes are classes that do not follow the standard start and end dates of a term and are not of a standard length. Since they are of a non-standard length, they have unique add/drop and refund rule dates. These classes should be identified in the class search with an ‘Open Learning Unique Deadline’ attribute.
As each open learning class can be of a different length, a calculation is used to determine the add/drop and refund dates rather than set dates. These dates can be calculated by using the Formulas for Calculating Financial and Academic Deadlines for Open Learning.
The audit/credit or credit/audit change deadline for open learning classes is 75% of the number of day of the class.
For help calculating registration and withdrawal deadlines, contact Student Central.
