Established in 1903, the Rhodes Trust funds 100 scholars each year from around the world. Among these have been some exceptional USask alumni. Learn about this exciting opportunity in furthering your studies at Oxford University.
The opportunity to study at Oxford with a Rhodes Scholarship is an incredible one and the application process requires careful consideration and planning.
This information session will feature a panel of Rhodes Scholars who will share about their experiences, provide application tips and answer your questions. Panelists include:
- JanaLee Cherneski: Faculty Member at New York University, 2004 Rhodes Scholar, University of Saskatchewan alumna
- Lindsay Morcom: Faculty Member at Queens University, Canada Research Chair in Language Relativization and Decolonizing Education, 2010 Rhodes Scholar, University of Regina alumna
- Simonne Horwitz: Faculty Member at the University of Saskatchewan, 2001 Rhodes Scholar
- Cassidy Serhienko: 2023 Rhodes Scholar, University of Saskatchewan alumna
When considering a Rhodes Scholarship application, students should
- Have a strong academic average
- Be active in student and/or community activities
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
- Have an undergraduate degree before taking up the Scholarship
- Be 24 or younger (as of October 2023)
