The Faith Leader Council at the University of Saskatchewan would like to invite you all to participate in the Abayah Day on campus on Thursday, September 21st, by wearing an abayah (women’s loose over-garment) or thobe (men’s full-length over-garment) in solidarity with the Muslim women who are forced to take it off before entering school in France.

Join us at the Atrium in Health Sciences from 1:30-3:30PM on the 21st to learn about the abayah, the situation in France and Quebec, and to build interfaith connections while enjoying refreshments. If you don’t have an abayah or thobe, we got you covered! You can try one on at the Atrium during the Abayah Day event.

We believe all women should have equal access to education regardless of their religious attire.

Together, we can stand in solidarity and make a difference!
