Please join Building Bridges and Triann Littlepine for an event about Land Connection. Triann will lead a discussion on what land connection is and why land is important for identity. Participants will engage in creating tobacco ties, a custom for many Indigenous peoples, and will have the opportunity to share their own journey and thoughts.

Triann Littlepine's family is from Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation and she grew up in Prince Albert. She graduated from Usask’s Renewable Resource Management program and has a background in environmental consulting. She is also a research and outreach coordinator for First Nations’ soil health at the Department of Soil Science. Taking care of the land has always been a passion of hers and she is excited to lead an event with Building Bridges.

The event will take place in the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre. Refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome!

This is presented by Building Bridges, a program coordinated by the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre and the International Student and Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC).
