This group is for first-year students who are having trouble managing their assignments or struggling to hand work in on time. Participants will have the time to meet other students who are having similar struggles. This Psycho-educational skills group will provide participants with the opportunity to share their experiences, learn new skills and work towards a plan to tackle the stresses of academic studies confidently.

Miranda Reilkoff-Leis & Nikki Villeneuve are grad students with the Department of Education in the School & Counselling Psychology program. Nikki and Miranda have worked in schools for several years with students struggling with academics and mental health.

This group will be under the clinical supervision of Sessional Lecturer Gwendolyn Chappell, M.A., M.Ed., CCC, & CAIRS coordinator Dr. Deb Kemp-Koo, Ph.D., R.D Psych. Department of Educational Psychology & Special Education University of Saskatchewan.
