Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

30 by 30 APEGS Award for Women in Engineering and Geo-Science

Value: Each award has a value of $3,200.
Number offered: Two annual awards. An Engineering student will receive the 30 by 30 APEGS Award in Engineering, and a Geological sciences student will receive the 30 by 30 APEGS Award in Geoscience.
Eligibility: Open to continuing undergraduate students.

For the 30 by 30 APEGS Award in Geological Engineering, applicants must:
  • be female
  • have a cumulative average of 70% or higher
  • have transferred into the College of Engineering from a field of study that does not include geological sciences or engineering
For the 30 by 30 APEGS Award in the Geoscience applicants must:
  • be female
  • have a cumulative average of 70% or higher
  • have transferred into a geological sciences major from a field of study that does not include geological sciences or engineering
