Get ready to kick off your University of Saskatchewan experience with energy, excitement and a warm prairie welcome! Fall Welcome is more than just an event—it's your official launch into university life, designed to help you feel at home, connected and confident as you begin this incredible new chapter.

What to Expect

We're rolling out the green carpet with a vibrant, central Welcome Hub. Located between the two residence buildings on the south end of the Bowl, this space is your first stop for friendly faces, helpful info, and a celebration of what it means to be part of the USask community.

At the "Information Den", you'll find key student services like:

  • Recruitment
  • USSU (University of Saskatchewan Students' Union)
  • GSA (Graduate Students' Association)
  • ISSAC (International Student and Study Abroad Centre)
  • Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre

Explore Your Campus
From the Welcome Hub, you'll be encouraged to explore campus through guided tours and self-led discovery using QR codes. As you navigate, you'll meet your college teams and support units at their info stations—ready to answer questions, share resources and help you feel right at home.

Main Stage Moment
At 10:45 AM, gather in the heart of campus for a short but powerful welcome program. Expect inspiring keynote messages, student performances and a celebration of the vibrant, inclusive spirit that defines USask.

Lunch and Learn
After the program wraps up, around 11:30 AM, grab lunch, join a tour or head to your college's afternoon sessions. Our team will stay on-site at the Welcome Hub to greet late arrivals and keep the energy going all day long.

Health and wellness

Get vaccinated

Viruses that cause the common cold, flu and other respiratory infections like Influenza and COVID-19 rise every fall and winter. We encourage all students, staff and faculty to take precautions to help protect the USask community, including staying current with your vaccinations, as per public health guidelines. Learn about USask health alerts.

In addition, health officials are advising that all travellers and children are up-to-date on their measles vaccination due to the ongoing risk in Canada and around the world.

You can book your vaccinations at the Saskatoon campus through the Student Wellness Centre or the Campus Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, or learn more about where else to get vaccinated in Saskatchewan. If you do not have a valid provincial/territorial health card, please call the Student Wellness Centre or HealthLine 811 to book your appointment.
